Label Registration and Nielsen SoundScan
IR Registration & Nielsen SoundScan Options Getting your Independent Records bar code and Nielsen SoundScan services is simple. You have a
few options to choose from depending on what you need and where you are
in your CD manufacturing process. Below is a list of options you can choose from :
How To Order Your Registration Option When you determine what services you need from us, fill out our online or printable registration form in order to register your musical item with Independent Records. To order and pay online with a credit card, you will need to click on the link below and fill out our online registration form. This form will provide us with the information we need to begin processing your order when payment is received. Once this form is submitted, you will be directed to our CDStreet order page. The order page will contain the options you can select online. Choose the options you want by selecting the corresponding check box and pressing the Click to Order button. Fill out the CDStreet payment information to complete your order. Once Independent Records receives payment from CDStreet, your item will be catalogued onto our record label and your bar code and Independent Records logo will be shipped to you using the method you specified on your online registration form. This can take up to 1 week for email delivery and up to 3 weeks for standard delivery. For sticker orders it can take up to 3 weeks to ship the graphic files and stickers. We will also provide you the Nielsen SoundScan "Title Addition" form to fax into Nielsen SoundScan in order to register your release with them. Contact us if you have questions about Nielsen SoundScan. Fill out the Online Registration Form here. To order and pay by check or money order through US mail, click on the link below and print out our printable registration form. Fill out the form and mail it to us with your payment. Make sure to circle which option you want on the form and include the shipping charge with your payment if you want your images supplied on diskette and sent using standard shipping (email shipping is free). Note that there is no need to include standard shipping with "Registration w/ Self-stick Labels" orders as the shipping is already included in the price. Upon receipt of your registration and payment, the bar code and Independent Records logo will be shipped to you using the method you specified on your printable registration form. Please allow 1-3 weeks for orders to complete. Money order and cashier checks will ensure quicker turnaround times, and personal checks must clear before we can begin the registration process which may lengthen the time you receive your graphic files. We will also provide you with the Nielsen SoundScan "Title Addition" form to fax into Nielsen SoundScan in order to register your release with them. Contact us if you have questions about Nielsen SoundScan. Print out the Printable Registration Form here. I've Got My Bar Code, What Now? When you receive the bar code and Independent Records logo, send it to your CD manufacturer or graphic artist so they can insert it into your artwork prior to pressing. For finished products, place the sticky label onto your release. You will also be able to register your release with Nielsen SoundScan if you wish. How To Register a Release With Nielsen SoundScan Upon registering your release with Independent Records you should receive a registration confirmation email containing your IR catalog number, bar code and logo graphic files, and URL link to the Nielsen SoundScan "Title Addition" form. To register your release with Nielsen SoundScan go to the URL address and download this form. When you fill out this form fax it in to Nielsen SoundScan using the fax number on the form. Once you fax in the form, if you wish to confirm that your release has been added to the Nielsen SoundScan database you may contact the Nielsen SoundScan's Client Services Dept. at 914-684-5525. Ordering Discounted Nielsen SoundScan DMA Reports In order to receive a discounted one-time Nielsen SoundScan DMA report on your release, the release must first be registered onto the Independent Records label and with Nielsen SoundScan. If the release has not been registered onto Independent Records and Nielsen SoundScan your request will be denied. To request a report, fill out the Nielson SoundScan request form. |
